The hotel is nestled in an estate in a beautiful forest named ‘God’s Forest’ spread over seven hills from Adam’s Peak to Kataragama, in the Eastern Hills of Sri Lanka. The forest is on the route elephants have used for centuries when they leave the plains below to go to the hills during the dry season. By the waterfall you will find the hotel’s Forest Ambalamba, a perfect spot for resting after a swim and for watching the water cascade into the pool below. Named after the Chinese village from which the original tea seedlings came, this very British residence has a Master Suite, 3 Garden Suites and 2 Luxury Rooms. A library, summer house and tennis court also add to the charm. A large swimming pool and raised garden offers panoramic views of the tea-carpeted mountains that lead towards the World Heritage Horton Plains National Park.

Castlereagh Bungalow

Eclectic style of its own, built in 1925, altitude 4025 ft
Nestled in a wooded dell close to the water, this century old bungalow offers unrivalled water views. It has 4 Garden Suites and 1 Luxury Room. Elegant parquet floors all around with open fireplaces in the dining and drawing rooms. It also adds a swimming pool, a library and a summer house.

Summerville Bungalow

Stone House

Stone House gets its name from the stones it is built from. Dating back to 1940s, this colonial mansion was referred to as ‘Gal Bangalawa’ in the olden days, which aptly translates to a house built of stone. The Stone House is located in a quiet and completely private location, so it is almost impossible to believe that it is just five minute drive from the Kandy city centre and its attractions such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
