Tintagel Colombo is a stylish chic-contemporary boutique hotel in Colombo’s most fashionable neighbourhood, Cinnamon Gardens. It is a 1930’s stately heritage residence, which once was the home of the Bandaranike family. Its colonial architecture is defined by high ceilings, wooden floors, arches and ornate columns. The hotel was also graced by Prince Charles and Camilla on their visit to Sri Lanka in 2013. The interior of the hotel is characterized by monotone earthy colour schemes, Sri Lankan modern art, silver gilded chandeliers and elegant flower arrangements. The hotel is luxuriously furnished with sofas from Portugal, hand-spun silk, rugs from Nepal, and Egyptian cotton bedding.
Tintagel has 10 standout suites – Royal Suites, Superior Suite and Executive Suites. All suites feature sumptuous bedding, flat screen TV with DVD player, DVD library on request, WiFi and internet access, bespoke amenity range by Spa Ceylon, Coffee and tea making facility, mini bar and extravagant bathrooms with bathtubs and showers.
Named after His Royal Highness Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, who chose these accommodations for their visit to Sri Lanka in 2013, these first floor grand rooms are individually designed with separate living rooms and lavish arrangements. All suites have a private lounge and balcony access.
Conveniently located on the ground floor, it features an outdoor lounge area, private plunge pool and a separate lounge area on entrance to the suite.
These are lavishly decorated rooms with a spacious bathroom offering large vanities, rain showers and bathtubs.
