Blue Lanka Tours Celebrates World Children’s Day with UNICEF

by | Nov 23, 2025

This year’s World Children’s Day and the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child were marked in Sri Lanka with the unveiling of UNICEF’s “Little Amaya – See Me, Hear Me” experience at the Lotus Tower in Colombo. It is Sri Lanka’s first immersive digital child rights adventure and a national child art exhibition, where children’s voices, dreams and rights are given a vibrant representation.

The immersive exhibition launched by UNICEF Sri Lanka, together with the Department of Probation and Child Care Services (DPCCS), the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA), Blue Lanka Tours, Derana TV, and World Vision, brings together nearly 200 artworks created by children across the country, showcasing their different experiences, abilities, languages and dreams.

It is a colourful representation of a child’s right to express themselves freely and fearlessly. The exhibition highlights children’s right to participation, underscoring that when children are truly heard, they can shape the world around them.

Our proud sponsorship emphasises our commitment to social responsibility and children’s empowerment through nurturing Sri Lanka’s younger generation.

Dynamic and Groundbreaking

The innovative immersive digital experience at Pixel Bloom in Lotus Tower sees Amaya’s journey unfold across massive surrounding screens that envelop visitors in vibrant colour, sound and movement. In this animated realm, Amaya and her cheerful friends – Susie, Louie and Rosie – come alive to guide viewers through essential questions about child rights: Why do these rights exist? What do they represent? And how do they safeguard children?

Through lively conversations, music, movement, and interactive visuals, both children and adults are encouraged to think, reflect, and reconnect with child rights in a way that was personal, meaningful, and truly memorable.

Children are among our most important stakeholders; yet too often, their rights go uncelebrated or unrecognised. Through “Little Amaya Lights the Way,” UNICEF and partners create a meaningful platform where children’s freedom of expression is the focal point.

Little Amaya – See Me, Hear Me will remain open until the 24th of November at the Pixel Bloom Lotus Tower from 10 AM – 10 PM. We invite you to visit the exhibition, experience the interactive journey, and witness the extraordinary creativity of children across the country. Amaya’s journey will be accessible to all young readers across Sri Lanka with a downloadable version in Sinhala and Tamil from UNICEF. Entrance is free.
