Note From Dhanushka

“When visiting cultural and wildlife regions, start early and travel unhurried. Early mornings bring cooler weather, fewer crowds, and better wildlife sightings. Comfortable footwear is essential, especially at ancient cities and nature trails. Keep curiosity alive — ask questions, listen to local stories, and travel responsibly so future generations can enjoy these places just as much.”

Little Bit More About Me.

Q. Describe Sri Lanka in 3 words.

Wonderful, Peaceful, Heaven

Q. Where is your favourite place to visit in Sri Lanka?

Kumana National Park – a less-visited national park adjacent to Yala, renowned for its rich birdlife, serene lagoons, and diverse ecosystems.

Q. What Sri Lankan food is your go-to pick-me-up?

Sri Lankan Rice and Curry, especially rice with Coconut Sambol.

Q. Why do you think responsible travel matters?

Because we must protect our world for future generations. Responsible travel protects the uniqueness of a place. Without it, destinations risk becoming commercialised, losing the charm and authenticity that drew travellers in the first place. It’s about choosing originality over exploitation.

Q. What is your favourite part about working with Blue Lanka Tours?

Exploring Sri Lanka alongside friendly and curious clients. I love answering all their questions and sharing my knowledge of history, folk tales, myths, and legends. Their excitement inspires me to dig more into stories that bring the island to life. It feels rewarding to see them make meaningful connections with Sri Lanka’s culture, people, and landscapes.

Q. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

I would make mental health a global priority, removing stigma and ensuring support for all. Emotional well-being is as important as physical health for a fulfilling life. Greater awareness of mental health issues can transform society and improve the lives of individuals affected by these.
