This converted tea factory hotel has its own organic tea estate where you can pluck your own tea leaves, process them in the mini tea factory and take home with you. The hotel’s tea estate grows organic black tea, green tea and herbal tea. Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka’s tea capital and has a lower temperature than the rest of the country, creating the ideal climate for tea plantations. The highland is scattered with English country style cottages, bungalows, some of which were homes to British officials who loved living in the cooler hill country.
