A brief background on the cricket history of Sri Lanka vs Australia

The two teams have been playing professional cricket since 1983, beginning with a Test Match which Australia won in Sri Lanka. Since then, Australia visited Sri Lanka in 1992, 1999, 2004, 2011 and 2016 for a series of Test Matches. Similarly, Sri Lanka toured Australia in 1995, 2004, 2007, 2013 and 2019.
