Offering a variety of landscapes – from the finest beaches to panoramic hill country views to wildlife backdrops, this Sri Lanka itinerary 14 days will comprise of an exciting, fun-filled holiday to spend with your partner, family and/ or friends.

Kalpitiya

Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, a Blue Lanka Representative will meet and assist you with your clearance from the airport. He will then welcome you into a luxurious private vehicle that will be with you throughout your holiday in Sri Lanka. Your first destination on this Sri Lanka itinerary 14 days will be Kalpitiya, which is about a 3-hour drive from the airport.

Dolphin Beach Resort is where you will be staying for the first two days on a bed and breakfast meal plan at the hotel. Kalpitiya waters are home to Dolphins and the coastline is ideal for a relaxing beach stay. Kitesurfing is a popular activity you might like to try here.

Anuradhapura

From Kalpitiya, the next morning you will depart to Anuradhapura (2 hours drive). After exploring the ancient city, ruins and basic knowledge about Lankan history, you will check in to Forest Rock Garden for the night. Next day’s breakfast at the hotel is included in the package.

Jaffna

Heading further north, this Sri Lanka itinerary 2 weeks will take you to Jaffna on day 4. From Anuradhapura, you will visit the Mihintale Temple first, Elephant Pass next, and then reach Jaffna – a journey totaling about 3 and a half hours.

Jetwing Jaffna is your selected accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis for the next two nights in Jaffna. On day 5, you will visit the Jaffna Fort, Nallur Temple, Library, Local Markets and the Nagadeepa Temple.

Trincomalee

From Jaffna, it will take about 5 hours to reach Trincomalee, your next destination on this Sri Lanka itinerary 14 days. On day 6 & 7, you will be staying at Trinco Blu, on a breakfast and dinner included meal plan. In Trincomalee, you will visit the Kinniya Bridge and the Velgam Vehera historic Buddhist Temple. Also at your hotel, relax on the beautiful east coast of Sri Lanka and indulge in some water sports activities.

Sigiriya

After breakfast the next morning, you will be driven to Sigiriya (2 hour’s away) where you will visit a local village by means of a Bullock Cart. After lunch you will engage in a rock climbing activity at the “Lion’s Rock” (about 1200 steps) – which is a UNESCO world heritage site and must not be missed during your tour in Sri Lanka. After a long day, you will check in to Amaya Lake for a peaceful night in a comfortable and luxurious room.

Kandy

Indulge in a delicious breakfast at Amaya Lake on Day 9 and pack up for the next few nights in Sri Lanka’s beautiful hill country. Three and a half hours from Sigiriya is the hill capital of Kandy. En-route you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temples (about 300-400 steps to climb). In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and then check in to Golden Crown Hotel for the night.

Nuwara Eliya

The hotel will provide breakfast the next morning, after which you will begin a three-hour journey to Nuwara Eliya. En-route, you will visit Ramboda Falls, a tea plantation and a tea factory. In Nuwara Eliya, you will be taken on a city tour and a food tour. Araliya Green Hills is where you will be staying on day 10.

Ella & Yala

After an early breakfast on day 11 of this Sri Lanka Itinerary 14 days, you will be transferred to the railway station for the most scenic train ride in Sri Lanka. Our driver will pick you up at the Ella railway station with all your luggage. He will take you to visit the Nine Arches Bridge in Ella and then head towards Yala – your next destination. En-route, you may also stop at the pottery place to try your hand at clay pottery making or pick up a few clay vessels for your home. Upon reaching your next destination, you will check in to Jetwing Yala for the night.

12, 13

Bentota

An early morning jeep safari ride will await at your hotel entrance the next day which will take you to the Yala National Park to explore the wildlife of Sri Lanka. After this, you will head towards the southern coast of Unawatuna for a cookery demonstration and a visit to the local market. Your next stop will be at Avani Bentota for a relaxing two nights stay on bed and breakfast basis. Bentota is on the south west coast of Sri Lanka and offers beautiful beaches for a swim and sun tan, along with adventurous water sports activities if you wish to try some.

Transfer to airport

This completes the Sri Lanka itinerary 2 weeks with Blue Lanka Tours and depending on the time of your flight, you will be transferred to the airport directly from Bentota (2 hour’s drive).
