Memorable private 5-day tour for honeymoon

We’ve travelled a lot but have never experienced a company so professional, flexible and friendly like Blue Lanka tours.
We were planning to visit Sri Lanka on route to the Maldives and set them a hard task: fitting as many of Sri Lanka’s beautiful sights in just 5 days with the fact that it was our honeymoon on top. After various emails back and forth with Reshani, she built me the perfect itinerary that fitted in the maximum we wanted but also found unique places to stay – one night we were in a treehouse in the jungle then a hotel perched over Ella Gap with a private pool, to a safari tent – all luxurious and with special honeymoon treats arranged all very reasonably priced

Blu Lanka, a reliable and professional company

We had previously used Blu Lanka Tours (BLT) in 2016 from a one day cruise ship visit to Colombo, where we visited Kandy and the Elephants on the way. BLT were recommended by others on our cruise, who had used them before. They were on time, professional and courteous, and a private tour for 4 of us, worked out much cheaper than an organised cruise ship tour with the usual hordes of elderly and slow passengers.
So in March this year, we had no hesitation in contacting them again, for our one week visit to Sri Lanka, on our return from the Maldives.

8 days in Sri Lanka was great

Our guide was really good about pickup times. He was always punctual. He provided assistance with check-in at EVERY hotel/activity. He waited at the train platform to make sure we departed Kandy safely and he was one of the first guides I saw upon arrival at the Ella train station. It’s helpful if you have an international SIM card. Aruna and i exchanged Whatsapp numbers and he checked in with us during our hotel stay. It was nice to have that security in case we had questions or if we were going to be 5-10 min late. It was super convenient. Aruna even messaged us after our trip was over to ensure we got to the Maldives safely. (Not in a creepy way, but it was out of concern. Haha) OH and Aruna also texted 30+ pictures of me and my husband.

I would recommend Blue Lanka to anyone wanting a fantastic authentic experience.

Had a wonderful guide for our 5 day tour of Sri Lanka. Kalinga collected us with a warm welcome off our very long flight. He dropped us at the hotel at some ungodly hour and picked us up early ready to start our adventures. We had lots of fun and saw and experienced some amazing spots. Can you believe it he even drove 40km to find us beer! (It was some sort of festival / religious reason).

We came back to Sri Lanka after a week in the Maldives. Again we did another tour with Blue Lanka. Asela looked after us also very well.

Great time in Sri Lanka with Chanaka from Blue Lanka!

My husband and I started our honeymoon with a 6 day tour of Sri Lanka before heading off to the Maldives. Things started off a bit rocky for us (to no fault of Blue Lanka’s) when our luggage didn’t arrive with us to Colombo. We arrived at 1AM sleepy-eyed but we immediately felt better when we were greeted by a friendly face from our driver and tour guide, Chanaka! We were without some essentials so he drove around at 1AM to find us a pharmacy that was open 24/7. He also went above and beyond by picking up our luggage for us the following day at 1AM back at the airport (a good hour away from where we were staying).

Excellent Guide Service

We traveled to Sri Lanka with a split schedule. The first 1/2 was Sigiriya and Dambulla area and the second 1/2 was Ella and Yala. The trip was split up by a journey to the Maldives. Our planning was done entirely via email. The office is very prompt and excellent with communicating details. Mr. Sanjaya was our guide for Sigiriy and Dambulla, and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to any US traveler. His communication skills were great and he spoke much better English than we spoke Sinhalese (just kidding about us speaking Sinhalese!). Mr. Sanjaya ensured that we were comfortable with all of our activities. He would stop for bathroom breaks every few hours.

Blue Lanka Tours highly recommended

We visited Sri Lanka for 15 days and organised our trip through Blue Lanka Tours. We were completely delighted with this professional and efficient organisation which was priced very fairly. All arrangements and queries prior to our holiday were dealt with promptly and satisfactorily. The care and attention to detail from our hard working Guide, Rishan, during our visit ensured that we had a memorable experience. He provided a first class customer service with a sense of humour. He has excellent English, explaining things easily and drives very well. We took a 5 day break in the Maldives following our trip and returned to Colombo for an overnight stay prior to returning to the UK.

10 day tour in Sri Lanka

My husband and I decided to go to Sri Lanka for 10 days combined with 5 days of a beachy vacation stay in Male for our honeymoon. We wanted to see as much as possible in the beautiful country we heared so much about from good Friends back in Holland. They suggested that we should contact blue Lanka tours. That was the best wedding/honeymoon gift we could have received, because blue Lanka tours exceeded all of our expectations. From the first email contact they showed us professionalism and they immediately unleashed us from the burden of having to arrange anything for this trip.
